Welcome to CreatureCore. The aims of our facility are as follows:
- To connect distant realms with our own and with each other through the common language and interest of music.
- To provide archival and publicity services, and creative resources to creatures of all kinds.
- To research the culture of each realm in order to better understand their inhabitants and their art.
See below for information about our current list of Creature Correspondents.

CCOR.01 - GENERAL MUMBLE

An Equestrian pegasus who makes music under multiple genres but aims to keep it all mostly accessible. They really like bugs and if you kill one in front of them, they'll probably cry. Partnered to Koa. Not actually a general of any kind.Full wiki entry

CCOR.02 - GENREAL MYMBLOE

A teenage pony-chicken hybrid who hastily slaps together goofy music about goofy things. She is currently on hiatus to study.Despite her parents being two ponies, General Mumble and Pinkie Pie, she contains about 40% chicken DNA. It is unknown how this happened and we do not intend to investigate further.Full wiki entry

CCOR.03 - DAEMIEN

An incubus who, on occasion, writes and performs moody and dark music, from ambient to sludgy rock/metal. Also loves to paint.A turncoat who defected from his undisclosed underworld realm, driven by empathy and compassion to pursue a life of freely expressive creativity.Full wiki entry

CCOR.04 - SPOTT

An eccentric hyena-dog-zebra hybrid who produces tongue-in-cheek hyperpop and hardcore music, often just as sexually charged as she is.She spends a lot of time right here in the labs messing around wi

IM FUCKING GAY LMAO YOU SHOULD MAKE MY PICTURE BIGGERYEAHHHH FUCK YEAH

CCOR.05 - MUM-B1

An animatronic pegasus/dog that creates mashups and sample-focused music by consuming physical media and excreting the computed result.Originally built as a stylised sculpture of General Mumble by a fan, Mumble later collaborated with their gifter to install animatronics and intelligence enchantments, turning it from trinket to semi-sentient pet and mashup-machine.Full wiki entry

CCOR.06 - ARIAH

A Tarydium Manta that fled her home planet of Na Pali to save herself and her infant from an invading race. After finding the Voyager Space Probe and its accompanying Golden Disc, she triangulated our solar system and, likely in response to the Terran music on the disc, began journaling her story in musical form, which she has agreed to let us publicise.Communication is slow, but we're working to assist her rehabilitation on a safe planet. Certainly not this one.Full wiki entry

CCOR.07 - MISSING CHARACTER

An elusive being (if that's the right word...) that, aside from its sporadic and experimental audio outputs, we can never seem to trace.Whenever an attempt is made to focus on it or study it, we seem to forget what we're doing... like staring into a blind spot of your brain.Full wiki entry

CCOR.08 - Riikira

A stalwart and resilient freedom fighter from the depths of the Bikini Atoll. In her downtime from leading her squad through skirmishes and insurgencies, she will often vent her frustrations through punky, electronic metal music. Her heavily distorted vocals can be attributed to a voice transformer she crudely installed on herself to relieve her of a speech impediment. She has agreed to work with us as a way of funding her cause.Full wiki entry

CCOR.09 - Rotløs

A creature of seemingly unreasonable size and strength - his transmissions to us are all blown out to the point where much of the data is lost to distortions. He does not seem to care if we study or publicise these signals. It's hard to tell if he cares about anything at all, but we won't test those waters.Full wiki entry

CCOR.10 - GOJI

A peaceful RainWing dragon from the Rainforest Kingdom of Phyrria that learned to produce soft, sleepy music with his body - as if conducting a tranquil orchestra of pores, scales, flame ducts, and talons (though we've seen him playing around with synthesizers plenty). He insists on all his music being given out for free, and also for you, dear reader, to get a glass of water and take a minute to focus on your breathing.Full wiki entry

CCOR.11 - KOA

An Equestrian changeling by birth, it spends a significant amount of time in the form of a bright yellow pegasus. Her pop music stylings frequently reach in between a number of genres and influences.Interestingly, Koa seems to be the only correspondent who may have learned to traverse realms... more research needed.Full wiki entry

CCOR.12 - SPICA

An irreverent princess from the distant Spider Kingdom who seems to be in conflict with her birthright, but meanwhile is channeling both intense joy and angst into electronic hardcore. She's incredibly intelligent, but currently seems more interested in pursuing indulgent pleasures alongside her girlfriend, Spott.
We've learned that even at her worst, she can easily be coaxed out with the promise of her favorite queso and chips.

CCOR.13 - LILITH

She worked with Daemien to defy and escape her underworld origins, and very occasionally indulges in grungy, emotive metal. She previously spent most of her time fulfilling her duties as a succubus, but now seems more content to exist quietly with sweet wine, a pen, and a blank book.Full wiki entry

Everything here is completely free and no longer behind paywalls like Patreon or Bandcamp.
Something that brings me a lot of joy is collecting samples for use in sound design and music production, and when I stumble upon free ones I rarely pass them up.While I 100% believe creators should be supported for making such content, it's honestly not something I'm frequently able to do. So I decided to make all of mine free going forward, for the joy of making and sharing.- Mumble

All samples may be used and modified in your own small-scale independent projects*.
You may send the files to your buds but please do not redistribute.
Credit is not required, but if you wish to, linking back to here is a great way to do that.

- Date order, newest packs are at the top -

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

15 Samples.

A small pack with a few twists and turns of a rain stick.

6 samples.

Flicking, tapping, slapping, dropping, and otherwise manipulating objects found around the house for percussive use.

221 samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

26 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

39 Samples.

Recordings of every note and chord on a very poor condition accordion. The samples are not labelled in any helpful way like by note or chord because that would have taken me forever and none of it is in tune anyway.

130 samples.

Just a handful of drum samples I had lying around in separate folders and wanted to consolidate.

24 samples.

A collection of words converted into chords and played on a default FL Studio Rhodes, with the rule being that notes don't stop after G, and instead continue up to Z. Further explanation included in zip. The sounds themselves are relatively inflexible and serve more as a proof-of-concept, but hopefully a seed for inspiration.

341 samples.

Flicking, tapping, slapping, dropping, and otherwise manipulating objects found around the house for percussive use.

228 samples.

Flicking, tapping, slapping, dropping, and otherwise manipulating objects found around the house for percussive use.

130 samples.

Flicking, tapping, slapping, dropping, and otherwise manipulating objects found around the house for percussive use.

154 samples.

The sounds of an electric drum kit being hit while turned off. Ultimately a dumb idea but plenty of unique percussive sounds.

121 samples.

A bunch of kicks, snares, and a few other percussion things from the Spott album Happy Heartcore. Leans towards bouncy and distorted tones.

52 samples.

Drums emulated with my mouth. Basically individual "beatbox" sounds. Each sample is titled like "SnareK", "KickP", with the last letter(s) representing the plosive used to shape the sound.

120 samples.

A bunch of kick drums from the Spott album Good Dog Gone Bad. Mostly goofy things that might not be particularly flexible for use in every genre.

36 samples.

Distorted and otherwise weird-sounding kick drums, ranging from cool-sounding to probably-unusable.

40 samples.

The slapping and plapping of flesh. I feel it's important to note that all of these are SFW and performed on thighs and tummies lol. They're also all very quiet because we didn't normalise them or anything.

64 samples.

A biiiig pack of percussive sounds made by slapping, flicking, shaking and scraping various items around Target.

267 samples.

Some drum loops rendered out from various works from 2019 or so. BPMs included in the title of each one.

35 samples.

Modifications of the default kick, hat, snare, and clap from FL Studio 10. An attempt to create new interesting sounds out of a handful that have become somewhat tell-tale and notorious over the years.

27 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

20 Samples.

Flicking, tapping, slapping, dropping, and otherwise manipulating objects found around the house for percussive use.

182 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

15 Samples.

Flicking, tapping, slapping, dropping, and otherwise manipulating objects found around the house for percussive use.

174 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

42 Samples.

Single hits at varying intensity on my old (cheap, falling apart) acoustic drum kit. Each sound was recorded under a blanket to remove as much room noise as possible.

115 Samples.

A bunch of kicks, snares, and a few other percussion things from the MUM-B1 album DOGGE II: Low-Poly, Gluten-Free. Most sounds are pitched down, muffled, reverby, and slightly unusual, for that vaporwavy vibe.

54 Samples.

Flicking, tapping, slapping, dropping, and otherwise manipulating objects found around the house for percussive use.

91 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

13 Samples.

The same snare drum put through a bunch of filters a few times. Not particularly inspired, but you might find good use for them.

20 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

19 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

18 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane. Very few files but does include a very long one where I fell asleep during recording lol.

5 Samples.

Just a handful of drum samples I had lying around in separate folders and wanted to consolidate.

24 samples.

A bunch of snare drums made from things that are not snare drums.

26 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

20 Samples.

A handful of drum samples from various songs from 2016 and earlier.

44 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

17 Samples.

Various long recordings of places and things, ranging from interesting to mundane.

21 Samples.

A handful of overly-distorted kickdrums.

19 Samples.

This is not a snare pack, all sounds are modifications of the famous Pryda snare to create other instruments. The original unmodified sound is not included.

28 Samples.

This page covers a bunch of frequently asked questions, and also a handful of basic questions that you might potentially want to know the answer to.

I'm confused, what is CreatureCore exactly?

CreatureCore is a net-label run by General Mumble and Koa.
We make music under a bunch of different aliases (our “creatures”), each with their own sound, personality, and lore. CreatureCore is thematically presented as a research facility that documents and studies the music, habits, and cultures of these creatures.

How can i get in contact with you?

Discord - (Links to our server, but you can DM Koa or Mumble from there)Contact formBandcamp - ("Contact CreatureCore" on the right)

What do you use to make your music?

Our core studio gear:Mumble:
- FL Studio
- MOTU M4 audio interface
- RØDE NT1-A condenser microphone
- Sennheiser HD 6XX open back headphones
- Tascam DR-40 handheld recorder
- Schecter Demon-8 electric guitar
Koa:
- FL Studio
- MOTU M4 audio interface
- Audio-Technica AT2020 condenser microphone
- JBL LSR308 monitor speakers
- Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro closed-back headphones
We use far too many different instruments, sample packs, software synthesizers, and effects to possibly list them all or be able to tell you which are our favourites concisely here (hint: join our Discord and strike up a conversation!)

Why so many characters/aliases?

It's fun! We make a lot of music in many different styles, from pop to ambient to metal to farting. While surprise is always nice, aliases help listeners know to some degree what they are in for when we put out a release. It's also fun to design characters, their stories and their place in the CreatureCore universe!

When will [character] make more music

We acknowledge that some characters do end up in the spotlight more often than others - it just depends on where our creative energy is flowing at the time. We don’t follow any sort of fixed schedule or structure with releasing work, so while some aliases may go quiet for a while (even years), that doesn’t mean they’re gone for good.

Do you still make "pony music"?

Yep! It's just not the only thing we do.

Why is [song/album] not on [platform]?

The answer to this varies per platform.Bandcamp:
We prioritize the upload of full, finished albums here. So, songs are not likely to be uploaded here until their respective album is complete.
Youtube:
We'd love to get everything of ours on YouTube, but making fun and engaging videos isn't exactly low effort. Some songs may just slip through the cracks as we get excited about the next project to work on.
Spotify, other streaming services:
Streaming services, and the distributors that work with them, are very strict when it comes to sample usage, so much of our content will likely be rejected by distributors on the grounds that even very fair sample use is not a risk they want to take.
We are working on getting as much up to these services as reasonably possible, but some work simply won't make it.

Can I use or upload your music?

You may, without permission:
- Upload footage of something else that includes our music (eg. playing our songs on a rhythm game; footage of something that happens to include our music in any capacity).
- Upload live footage of our performances.- Use our music as a backing track/intro/outro/ to YouTube videos, free-to-listen podcasts.- Make and upload fan music videos/animations with our music. You must ask permission if you wish to:
- Upload or reupload our music without modification to any platform, even if you aren't monetizing or selling it. Unless you are a promotional entity of some kind, this one is very likely to be a no.
- Use our music in/to promote a product you wish to sell, or are earning significant income from the monetization of.- Use our music in/to promote anything relating to politics. This is not an exhaustive list of things, but should give you a rough idea. If in doubt, you need only ask us! (see question 2!)We're aware that not all of our content is on YouTube (for example), but it's our job to put it there. If you want it on a platform, showing interest by asking us is the best way to get it there. We simply wish to ensure, as full time creators, that all of our hard work results in traffic coming back to us.Please credit any use of our stuff appropriately (link back to our website, youtube, or a suitable official upload of the song(s) you used).

Can I send my mp3s of your music to my friends?

Yeah go ahead. While it's preferable you point them where to properly access our work, we know how it goes.Low-level file sharing between a few people isn't gonna hurt anyone - but please try not to cross the line into distribution here, eg. don't give out an album zip to a giant Discord server or something.

Can I use your music in a DJ mix?

Yes. We'd also love to hear it, if it's available to listen to on the internet. Credit isn't necessary if you're performing live to an audience as this is impractical, though obviously, due credit should be given if a setlist or upload is ever posted.

Can I remix your music/cover your music/use it in a mashup?

Yes, with due credit! We'd also love to hear the final product! And contact us first if you plan to sell it. Exporting official project stems is something we often only do by request from Patrons and close collaborators - and sometimes can't even do due to lost files, or choose not to do for one reason or another.

No stems exist for [song] but i want to remix it! can i create a bootleg remix or split the stems myself?

Yes! You are free to get creative with our final mixes as you wish, but the due credit and selling rules above still apply.

Can I sample parts of your music in an original piece?

Yes, go for it! Good sampling is a great way of building on the shoulders of other pieces of music. You're free to use any piece of our music for sampling. Credit is not required, though also not discouraged. If you're selling the music, this is also fine. However, if you use a significant amount of our music in your piece, consider first if it better falls into the previous question about remixes, covers, and mashups. If in doubt, ask!

Can we collab?

We’re always flattered when people want to work with us! While we tend to collaborate with those we already have a creative rhythm with, we’re definitely open to new collabs when something really clicks. Just know our time’s limited, so we’re careful about what we commit to, and that "no" is never personal.

I want to get rid of a CD or cassette of yours. Can I sell it?

Yes. That's your property and you can do with it whatever you wish.

Submit inquiry here. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
Your message will be handled privately and your details will only be used to reply to you.
